I have a chick called dozy, and his leg is deformed. He also has breathing problems. I don't know what to do as I live in a country where vets are no good.

More info is needed:
How old is chick?
Please post a pic of leg deformity.
Did you hatch this chick.... or buy it from where??
What is your brooder and heat setup like?....description and pic.

If a chick can't walk/eat/drink it's probably not going to survive,
and might be better to euthanize it before it suffers any longer.

The chick is about a month old but still quite small, and how do I post a pic of him? I hatched it with 12 other healthy chicks, and again how do I send a pic of the brooder? And I don't know what you mean by what is the best setup like. His good leg's toes are curved like a hand shaped into a fist.

Here's a link to instructions on fixing leg and toe problems in new chicks. http://www.the-chicken-chick.com/2012/02/spraddle-leg-in-baby-chicks-what-is-it.html You don't need a vet. You can fix it yourself, following these instructions with pictures and video,

Your chick may have problems inside, too. If it was hatched before its internal organs were fully formed, it may be having heart and lung problems. Not much to be done but wait and see if the chick can survive and thrive.

To post a photo, click on "upload a file" at the bottom of the comment window. It should then allow you to access your computer photo file and select one to post. Select the full size for better viewing. It's easy.

At first I thought it was just splay leg, and I put a rubber band on his legs to keep them under his body, but it turned into a bigger problem. Thanks but I'm doing this on a phone, does it still upload on a phone?

Please take a few minutes to watch this:
It will show you how to add pictures!
