I have seen so many nice ponds made on here... just wanting a follow up... how do those who made them of rubber lining like them and how are the hard shelll ponds working out...
woudl you do anything different...??

also...for those who did a rubber liner, what type of drain did you put in, and is it working ? we were going to do one of the "bottom drains" for the pond filters and just plumb it straight out to a ball valve, and some of the pond people said it wont drain without the pump being attatched.

We have call ducks, so I worry about the hard shell liners being to "steep" for them to get out... not sure how to make steps that they cant get caught in...

any help or ideas are appreciated....

We used a rubber liner, no bottom drain. we just close our ducks off from the pond and use a sump pump to drain then flush debris with garden hose, allow to dry for a day, then muck it out.
once a year event, usually in May when it is warm enough to get wet, lol. install our circulation and filter pump after cleaning.
