Drainge issues

I just walked into a pool in my chicken run. There is standing water/flooding in a few areas of my 8'x16' run. How can I solve this issue easily and as inexpensive as possible? I thought about PVC drainage in the lower areas of my run and building up the others with materials. Here is the kicker. The run and coop cannot be moved at all. Please give me some helpful hints. Oh, you can also see my coop and run in my photos titled High Barn.

If you have the slope available away from the coop, a weeping system(like a septic drain field) should keep the standing water from collecting in the run. Do you have a sand run now?

No....the slope isnt there....its just low spots in the yard itself.....and where the run is, is the flattest area we could find. No sand yet in the run, working on getting some....been putting bags of sand in the run when water is standing....but realized not a great idea.

Can you build up the low spots to where they are at least on the same plane as the rest of the yard? A sand run is so nice to clean and keep mud down too.

Post a few pictures of your run so you can get some good recommendations.

Does water flow into the run, or is it sitting after a rain or snow melt? Is it coming in from under the run?

A rain gutter would help divert water that comes off the roof away from the coop. My other suggestions would be to make a few drainage ditches filled with gravel to direct water away and to add sand to the floor of your coop. It drains well and doesn't turn into muck

Kernel Cluck has good suggestions.

Depending on the lay of the land you'd need to look at whether the water puddling in the run is coming off the roof or flowing in from the surrounding land.
It's so flat that it would be hard to tell from pics....
....so proper guttering would be the first step.....
...... then see where that water is running when it comes out from the down spout.....
......then look at drainage swales and/or a dry well.
