I have a khaki campbell drake and his behavior tonight was a little odd and I couldn't figure out what he was doing. He is #2 or 3 on the pecking order. My swedish drake is alpha. I was feeding the swedish, KC, and a pair of pekins some mealworms tonight. I sat down and they ate out of my hands. He pecked me 3 different times is all I know how to say. He would do that thing where they scrunch and jiggle their neck and peck while pushing his neck over my arm. By the third time I knew I wasn't imagining things and he got thumped a little. Is he being a selfish turd or is he trying to prove he's dominant over me? Him and the swedish have just recently changed their feathers (~3 months old) where they are really shiny and pretty (don't know if that's a mating thing or not).
Most of the time when I let them out of their pen, they will stay right next to me. He's been a little snippy in general but never to me until today so his days might be numbered.
