Thank you for your kindness, I do think it unfortunately was an impacted gut! Holding onto the fact that he was seemed not too uncomfortable or unhappy in his last day so hopefully he didn't suffer

I went back through what could have changed that would have been an obvious culprit. And the only thing is that we started to bed the ducks with shavings/sawdust, the day he started to act funny I noticed his beak was covered in sawdust so I imagine he must have tried to eat it? Which is strange but maybe he was just foraging, we've taken the shavings/sawdust out of the coop now and cleaned it out for the other duckies which should be a good test to see it they do well! Fingers crossed
