Hello all,

My wife brought home 3 pekins a few years ago they have been great we recently lost one of the hens so it was just the drake and hen left. I made the decision to get 2 adult hens and the drake will not stop picking on them. They’re sweet ducks and just take the bullying. I feel bad for them so I have been keeping the drake in a seperate coop at night. They do free range during the day, is there anything I can do to stop the drake from harassing them? He does not bother the hen he grew up with at all.

When I get new ducks I keep them separated from the original flock for at least a few days, even a couple weeks, just put up a fence in between them, or around the new ones, so that they can get used to each other without touching each other. Once you see them lay down next to each other near the fence you know they will be getting along pretty well after that.

Great idea I am going to try this
