I got a new little cayuga hen yesterday. I kept her penned with my pekin hen who is the calmer, friendlier one of the flock. Everything seemed fine. I penned everyone last night and watched them for a bit. My drake was trying to mate her but it didn't seem constant. When I went out this morning to let everyone out, she didn't come out. She was hiding in their little house. I picked her up to look at her and she was almost completely bald on her back, sides, and under her wings. She also has some cuts on her sides and back. I put a little bit of neosporin on it. Is there anything else I should do for her? She is penned with the ducklings right now, away from the big ducks.

I would say you are doing everything right. She will loose some feathers on the bck of her head because that is wher the male hangs on.

You will need to watch for flies (maggots). Neosporin (I've heard not to use the one with the extra pain relief) and Wonder Dust would probably work too. I have used it on my chickens without it hurting them. It dries stuff up (it is a horse product).
