Drake is a MENACE!

Just be persistant with your appraoch to the discipline and hopefully you will soon find your Drake behaving alot better. Nothing worse then walking through the yard trying not to trip over- or drag an attached Drake with your leg..

My little Aussie Spot Bo has kinda started doing this recently. He's just a year old and his mate Bella has been laying eggs for about a month but hasn't gone broody yet. Anyway, I noticed last week when I would turn and start walking away he would run after me quacking loudly (for him anyway, it's still pretty quiet).

Now I'm not concerned about getting hurt (he barely weighs 2 pounds!) but this behavior is similiar to what my bantam rooster Alexander does so I'm assuming it's his trying to assert himself in "his" yard. When he runs after me I've started running back at him quickly and he turns tail and runs

. I assume when she goes broody his behavior will escalate and that's fine as long as he doesn't start flying up at me, that would really tick me off

.

I'm guessing this is a similiar situation with the breeding season and his asserting himself. Good luck with whatever you decided to do.
