Drake issue with new duckling

I have a 4 week old duckling that i've been introducing a few times daily to my other 4 ducks. (1 drake 3 females). Probably for 2-3 weeks now.

I've read on here that drakes can either be really cool with ducklings or try to kill them. The duckling is still indoors and this is the only thing keeping me from penning it with the others and keeping em outside.

The drake will chase him down and today he took a clump of fluff out of em. Could he actually kill him at this age? Should I just let em settle it on their own?

Anyone with experience have advice?

If you can leave it out during the day in a look no touch pen..Possibly it's another young Drake Duckling..

Cool. Will have to try that. My guess is that as he gets up to 8+ weeks hes out of danger maybe?

Also free range as you watch over them..

yea I let him out as much as i can. usually in the yard for 1-2 hours a day but the duckling doesnt leave my side. Sometimes he gets within a few feet of the drake but he wont do a thing until the duckling walks away from him lol.

I have also locked up my Drake and let Ducklings mingle with my Hens too..

oh jeez... I may have to use that... but imagine locking up the husband and having the wives play with the new and younger boyfriend. lol.
