Drake lost his mojo....question

Looking for insights-

I am new to raising ducks and my only drake (cayuga) is 9 months old. He hurt his foot about a month ago. For the last two weeks it seems completely healed, but he has not resumed breeding. I don't know if he is still hurt even though he doesn't appear to be hurt or if it is natural for him to slow down this time of year.

He has 6 females that are pestering him none stop for attention, so it seems odd that he wouldn't resume his normal activities if he were able. I am getting worried that I need to start looking for a new drake.

P.S. No vets in my area take care of poultry/waterfowl. It would be at least an 1.5 hr to one that does.

They do slow down a bit as the days get shorter. Mine haven't completely stopped however.
Breeding is not a mutual consent on the part of the drakes, when theyre gonna do it, theyre gonna do it. But it does seem strange that the girls are ready and he isnt. Maybe someone else knows more?
