Hello BYC members,

As always I'm in need of your expertise! I've posted a video of my three Pekin ducks, I hope you all can hear them as well, Mr. Rooster was rooing right in my ear. Can you all tell if my ducks are drakes? I started seeing these feathers curling up right before their tails....

This is the YouTube link, please let me know if it doesn't work, it took two HOURS to upload!

Thank you!

Oh my Goodness! Four ducklings and all four turn out to be drakes! At least I hope the one I had to harvest was a Drake but I can't dwell on that! How can I ensure I get females next time- I WANT DUCK EGGS!

I'm so hard of hearing that I couldn't hear anything except some mumbling and the rooster.

LOL..sorry my fault, I've been sick so I barely have a voice. And of course Mr. Rooster had to stand right in my ear to show everyone what a good crower he is! But could you see any signs of Drake feathers?

So, I have one rooster-Mr. Rooster he is a Seabright and a variety of 21 hens. And now 3 drakes. Will the drakes try to mate with my chickens since there are no female ducks? And, are ducks good to have to help scare off predators? I just don't know what to do with three drakes.
