I already have 3 hens 2 are 2.5 Years and 1 is 1.5 yrs. Anyway my cousin had called and said there was a older woman that she knew who had had heart attack and stroke. She wouldn't be able to take care of them and asked if I would take her 3 ducks and they were girls . I told them sure. Well turns out they thought they were all girls because that's what they were told. So the new ducks are 2 drakes one hen. My birds are 40% of the time in a run 60% free range ... right now we are free ranging. My questions are;
1. When I integrate them should I do the hen first and then one boy at a time ?
2. Is my 2 drakes to 4 hen ratio good or may be ok.

1st Photo is the newbies: Ed Edd and Betty
2nd photo is Quasi quack quack
3rd photo is the established flock: quasi didi and callie

Yeah I think the front two in the first pictures are drakes and the other ones are hens? I don’t have ducks but it looks a lot like it, different figure and beak color… just their faces look different too.
What happened to the second ones beak? I mean she looks fine just curious

Your ratio maybe ok. Its all very individual to the ducks and drakes. My son has two pekin females and a drake and the drake would not accept a third female into the flock.

I am surprised at any pekin drake being aggressive! Our three are softies. Some occasional squabbling among the drake flock but nothing aggressive.

2 drakes 4 hens might work but just be ready to separate. what breeds are the boys? my khaki drake and his one girl are perfectly happy together, i've never had a problem with him. my two pekin drakes can never be with hens because they are just too aggressive.
The 3 I had originally is a Rouen, cayuga cross and a khaki Campbell
The 3 new one I am pretty sure are khaki Campbell the hen may be khaki Campbell Swedish cross

Betty is super sweet and not so shy when she was separated from her boys. I'm not sure how to integrate the boys

Integrate the female first let the new drakes be side by side with them for a few days then try integrating them. As for how randy the drakes might be you’ll just have to observe if they start ganging up on the girls then you should have a separate pen for the boys. If your living where fall is approaching hormones should begin to calm down and hopefully the boys won’t be aggressive with the females.
