Well, the title pretty much says it all. My one year old Ancona drake has been for the last day or two pooping primarily water poops with very little substance to them. Additionally, his penis will dangle out occasionally during the day for seemingly no reason. His diet hasn't changed and there doesn't seem to be anything energy, posture or crop wise that is amiss. Is there anything I can do to help him out here? Attached is a picture of him a minute ago.

Is he a house duck?
Does he have any flock mates?

Some drakes are more prone to allowing their penis to just hang out. Especially those that don't have a pond to mate in. It seems the water encourages it to be put away. LOL
If this is a house duck and it sees you as a mate he may be confused and sending signals he's ready to mate.

Either way it's mostly normal. Amazingly they can get along just fine with it dangling about for quite a while. Rather like a dogs out of it's sheath.

Yes he is a house duck with a lady Muscovy. Honestly I'm more concerned about the water poos and the fact he seems constipated - any thoughts on that? Thank you for your response!

Water poos are normal as well, as long as he's drinking plenty. My ducks typically water poo in the morning (feed is up overnight to discourage rats) and then to poos are solid(ish) during the day.

He's definitely drinking plenty. Okay, thanks. I will keep an eye out for behavior changes.
