Your best bet would be to rehome the pair of ducks. There is a rehoming thread here on BYC or local craigslist. So sad when this happens.
Could you not just fence off a small area of your property for your ducks enough room for a small pool and a coop wouldn't have to be anything fancy just something to keep them safe at night?
