Drakes losing feathers??

Hi everyone, I have 3 drakes and 2 ducks 4 of them are pekins and one of the girls is an Aylesbury. The past week they’ve been acting strange, the boys have started loosing feathers and they sometimes squabble over the girls but they never get into proper fights and are never violent. By the way I keep girls and boys separate but they can still see each other. Im not sure why the boys are losing feathers and the girls aren’t? Do drakes moult more or something? I haven’t experienced this time of year with ducks yet so I’m just looking for advice. Also one of my females has started bobbing her head up and down at the other girl and trying to get on top of her.

The drakes are molting, and the bobbing and mounting of the females is them showing dominance.

Thank you, is there a reason why it’s just the drakes molting and not the hens?

My all female flock mate with each other often. First they bob heads at each other. I believe it is flirting and asking if the other duck wants to mate. My ducks are very polite about it and I do not believe it is a dominance related behavior. It seems aggressive because of the mechanics.

My ducks frequently do not molt at the same time.
