Drakes mating hens?

Drakes can attempt to mate with a chicken. There was a thread on here not too long ago where a lady lost her sweet chicken due to not knowing that it can happen. Drakes have a penis that is not meant for the chicken anatomy.
Even drakes with one duck hen can attempt to mate a chicken. Drakes generally do better with at least 3 ducks.
Some people will never have the issue with the drake, but some will. It is better to be safe than sorry. The drakes hormones are in high gear during mating season and no one can watch their flock 100% of the time.

Yes. My drakes try to get in the chicken coop and mate my hens. My hens are not the nicest and attack the drakes. I’m like drakes that what you get!! Lol

So they don't start mating until about 6 months, right? And all the duck's eggs will be fertilized? (I know this is obvious-this is my first time with ducks.)

I've never had any issues with my drakes trying to mate with my neighbor's hens. However, my little serama rooster keeps trying to mate with my little female mallard! None of their roosters have tried mating with my ducks before but mine seems to think it's a duck after losing his mate. Now he watches over my flock of ducks until the new hens mature in time.
