Drakes mating with geese

Just seperated two of the geese (the mommy and the gander) from the rest of the flock together with the gosling. The two younger geese immediately tried attacking the gosling so for now they'll have to put up with the ducks. Some pictures of the main characters, starting with the parents:

Well those 2 little stinkers. Upstarts. lol
That looks like a great place for the little family.
Boy I can see that goose lover is full of himself. I wouldn't be surprised one bit that if I didn't have a gander my Muscovy would have problably went after my goose. This is in his younger days. He's 10- now so he has his 3 females and seems very content.

Unfortunately when I walked to the back around lunch time today to check on the gosling I found the coop door open and the baby gosling lying dead in front of it with the mother goose next to it, and one of the younger geese now sitting on the nest (there were still 2 eggs there).

Pretty sure the younger geese managed to somehow push the door open and killed the gosling. Unfortunately that's 0/3 this year for goslings surviving, we'll have to make sure to lock the coop every time next time we try incubating naturally.

I'm so sorry. I know that is heartbreaking and if your goose is like mine was she mourned for a couple of weeks. I was able to find my 2 some just hatched goslings though and it took about a week of me taking them outside daily for a walk by since my goose wouldn't leave her house for her to get curious and come out and see them, then I waited till the goslings were 3 weeks old before the geese got them for good. {My gander is Mr. Clutch and I was afraid he'd accidentally step on one.] Happened with a duckling. I know this isn't gosling time unless your in another hemisphere.
So sad for you all.

We got 3 ducks a few months ago and all of them turned out to be drakes. We put them on our farm along with our geese and chickens, but recently they've been trying to mate with the geese (and kind of succeeding at it). The drakes chase our youngest geese around and will mount them once they corner them, at which point the geese seem to just let it happen.

It looks pretty comical, but today one of our geese hatched some younglings and we had one of the ducks sneak into her nest and mount her while she was sitting on the baby goslings! I'm wondering if this is normal behavior for ducks and if there's anything we can do about this?

We picked up 3 female ducks last week to even things out a bit but nothing seems to have changed, the drakes seem more interested in our geese than in the female ducks. Would taking away 2 of the drakes solve the problem or is this an ingrained behavioral problem? At this point the ducks are mostly just a nuisance so I'm wondering if we're better off just turning them all into dinner in order to protect our geese.
Drakes are perverts, that's all there is to it. I have one that wants to mount the dog, and pesters Miss Dog to pieces.
