Drakes trying to mate with younger drake. Is this their way of forcing submission?

I have 2 older drakes who are best buddies, then I added more ducklings and 1 turned out to be another drake. (yes, I'm sure it's a drake.) Every chance the older guys get, the run down the younger drake and try mating with him. Poor guy... the older drakes also tag team the younger female. Boy do I feel bad for the younger 2.

it could just be that you have too many drakes. The males are probably being territorial over the female, and also trying to let the other new male know that he's low man on the totem pole. Trying to assert their dominance is most likely the problem......each Drake is suppose to have multiple females to call their own, and too many males could be the reason for your problem. Hope all gets better!
