No, he’s actually a black American Canary, a fictional song bird species generally characterized by being smol and round but variable in size and shape. The two types of birds most similar would be the Black Robin, Dark Eyed Junco, and basically any warbler.Great job, very well drawn!

Any tips, I would love to design my own creature....I know, so creative of me, create a fictional species by stealing the name of something completely unrelated then give it a couple mundane shapes and colors along with a subspecies in a very flashy color. This is how I am.
But it was designed to be something real and imperfect enough that you could believe it still exists.
