So... I am looking to see if anyone else has some experience or thoughts on this.
first of all - knock on wood
history of birds in my yard
I got Muscovy ducks ( they are silent and don't fly)
no issues with predators
I get chickens
chickens make noise
raccoons come
modify coop
no issues with predators
and I want to keep it this way

my question- if I add pigeons to the same yard- with them flying back and forth- will predators follow them bakc in? Am I likely to just be advertising to all the local critters to follow in the flyers- and my ducks make an easier meal than the pigdies?
What do you think?

Pigeons attract hawks. Although most "pigeon eating" hawks (coopers, peregrine falcon) are too small to bother anything bigger than a bantam.
