My hens name was Liz. Short for Elizabeth. We have naming rules. The rhode Island reds have to be named after queens. The Easter Eggers have their names end in ie. The Australorps only have pet names. If we get barred rocks, they are going to be named after sweet stuff.Haha, they always act spunkier after having special treatment. Thin Mint was the same way, she got super sick (almost died) but then slowly started getting better. A little bit after she laid her first egg she went broody and hatched out a clutch of 6 ducklings (100% success hatch rate). After her duck babies grew up she was lonely so we have her set up in our barn to wander. A bunch of other chickens are also in there because they fly in through the stalls so around 10 chickens in there..? The only one Thin Mint really tolerates is Popcorn (calico princess hen). We also have a salmon faverolle with a limp in the barn to be away from the roos. What was your hen's name?
