I second the "find what works and go with it" process. Life's too short to search all the options for "perfect."
I had a traditional church wedding planned (by myself) in under 3 months.
I'm on the other side of the coin now. I'm catering my second wedding this August! I'm so very grateful for easy going brides! My first was a fondue wedding. This one will be food on a stick. Fruit, veggies, meats, and cheeses on sticks!

Thanks! We looked at the house's interior last night and didn't like it at all. Oh well, we're not seriously looking to buy a new house anyway.

My first choice for a priest to officiate at our wedding won't be in town. Bummer. I've got a message in to the man who was the chaplain at the university where I used to work (thank goodness for facebook buddies - his DIL and I used to work together and are friends on FB now). If that doesn't work, I think we'l ask either my dad or a friend to get ordained online and officiate for us.
