Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

I'm certainly enjoying the unseasonably warm weather, but I'm concerned it may just be another of Mother Nature's tricks. I remember how nicely winter was going before the one-two blizzard punch in January that left me snowed in for five days.

Plus, if I convince myself that more snow is on the way, I can feel less guilty about all those brown leaves that I didn't rake up last fall. Now, I can say I'm leaving there to "protect" the emerging grass and perennials.

New people have bought my favorite greenhouse. It was owned by the same family for four generations. I stopped in yesterday and met one of the new owners; it appears there are far more house plants than before. I have way more than enough of those. Maybe I will spend less money there now? Of course, she was in the middle of ordering additional plants -- I don't know what types -- so maybe I won't.

Very warm out today. I went to fill my sunflower bird feeder and it's covered in little bees. I imagine they are hungry and there's nothing to eat currently because it's still February. I hope the frogs don't start croaking next. Unless of course we are having an early spring. Than I better get my lettuce seeds ready.

DD Barby visited tonight. she is the grandma to Leon. She is starting to plant seeds. she sells started plants in the spring.
I told her to start some cabbage for me.
also a couple of big boy tomatoes.
If I get Ollie up and running soon enough, we are going to plant some corn.. I can't tolerate the store bought frozen or canned corn.. it tastes like field corn to me..
Annie was reading the manual for our new freezer.. it turns out to be a frostless one.. we will see how that goes..
something is giving the ice cubes a wierd taste in the refrigerator freezer compartment.. it tastes like turpentine to me.. even the ice cream has that taste..
time to remove everything and find the culprit..
