Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

I tripped in my basement this afternoon and hit pretty hard trying to not land on my face. I definitely reached the age where falling is very bad. Thankfully nothing is broke, but I will be sore for a while. I smashed one of my expensive artificial knees up, but doesn't seem broken. I guess I'm on the wounded players bench this week.

Lisa!!! too late, but be careful..
I haven't fallen yet, but I stumble a lot.
when I do it scares the hell out of Annie, lol
today I spent a long time in the shop making sawdust.. I got quite a few boards planed..
I have to pull a few more boards out. funny how planning brings out the flaws in rough cut lumber
it sure was a nice day today.. this weather is driving the maple syrup guys nuts..

Thank goodness you weren't more seriously hurt, Lisa! Falling is, at least for me, terrifying.

Since I got the metal plates after my me-vs.-the-donkey incident, my balance is off. I find it amusing when I think I'm headed in one direction and my hip disagrees. It's much less funny when I can see the ground coming quickly toward my face.

I need to make some sawdust, Jim. Blizzard No. 2 did a number on one of my coop roofs. I managed to slap together something workable, but I really need to start from scratch and do it right.

I took the dogs out at 4, and it was 53 degrees. My resurrection lilies are growing quickly and are about three inches tall now. Also known as "surprise" lilies are likely to be the ones getting a shock since I'm almost certain winter isn't through with us yet.

since I had both hips replaced, I walk with shorter steps. I think I am about 3/4" taller.
on a Dr visit, he asked me to walk across the room. then he said, you are shuffling.

I haven't been exercising like I should. but now that I can get into the shop, I will get more exercise..
I recall in 1969 , I worked on a concrete crew.. we began on March 1 and the weather allowed us to work all month and on into the summer..

I’m okay. I had a bad migraine earlier but I got more of the rescue med and took one and also napped and now I feel way better.
Migraines are terrible. Glad you feel better. I sometimes get the ocular migraines and I feel like I have loose rocks in my head for a few days afterwards. It doe hurt during the episode, but hurts the next day if I tilt any which way.

Thanks! They do suck. And that’s awful! The weird thing is I started a new med and had none for like a couple weeks and thought this is great and then I get my cycle and have like 6 in one week break through to where I needed the rescue med, one of which I didn’t have it at the time so didn’t take it which sucked. That was last night.
