Gorgeous horses. Brew looks good.
Right!? I love the horses. And thanks!!!Gorgeous horses. Brew looks good.![]()
That’s awesome!! I love draft horses! Well, all horses LOL but especially draft horses!@ShrekDawg, those horses are beauties! There's a annual draft horse show in Britt, Iowa that I used to attend. Such magnificent animals! Once in Canada, I was allowed to ground drive a two-horse team of Belgians. It was incredible!
Well, Jim, I still don't think I will have to worry about being late to my sister's party Saturday. But, at least the Yankees remembered they were the AL champs and played like winners last night. It was a fun game to watch -- even if I dozed off briefly and missed Volpe's grand slam.
How's the garage work going?
Lisa, how are all your critters doing? Looks like your cold weather is heading this way.
Also looks like today will be the last warm day, probably, of the year. It was 70-plus yesterday but too windy to work outside much. Today, it's allegedly going to rain, and the wind is still whipping around hard.
I have not had another trapped rat or new tunnels. The Work Crew rebuilt the threshold on the compromised coop and added a new door that has metal wrapped around the bottom. I was feeling pretty good about all that -- until I realized last evening that there is a BIG gap at the bottom of the west wall. Guess I will be getting soggy and windblown today adding some fortification.
A few troubles with a couple of dogs, older one is getting an upset stomach, may need to start her antibiotics, young one is still limping. Went yesterday for the expensive test to rule out tick diseases. Vet says it's a luxating patella, but doesn't act like one to me, plus she has it in both back legs and only limps on one.Lisa, how are all your critters doing? One cat is limping on a front leg. I'm sure he has a bite from that stray tom, who's name has been Doppelganger because he looks very similar to one of ours, but I've Bern calling him Stinker lately because he keeps fighting with mine and causes abscesses.
Still getting broody bantams. Had enough of those.
This warm weather really brought out all the bugs and they all want inside my house. Looking forward to the cooler weather to send them back in hiding.
I have no problems vacuuming up all the flies. The best thing about winter is the break from all the insects. My big kitchen bay window needs cleaning from all the swatting.Sorry to hear about trouble with the old dogs; I hope everything turns out as well as possible with them and the limping kitty.
Amen on broody hens, enough of those this year. Now, if everyone could just finish molting ASAP.
My home is the House of Flies. I have no idea how they get in. When a friend came over for tea Monday, I looked at my white dining room sheer curtains and could see at least a half dozen flies crawling between them and the bay window (which was just replaced last year). I hated to massacre them all while Deb was here, but I despise flies!!
