Silly question, I suppose, but have you gone to the doctor, Lisa?

Then again, it may or may not help. Last winter I had crap -- including violent coughing -- for 8 weeks. All they could tell me was what I didn't have, and I ended up not taking the medicine because I didn't want the potential side effects.

Last time I went they made me feel so stupid I vowed never to return to urgent care unless I was also dead. I keep trying to stop the over e counter meds. I'm doing better as long as I keep them up, so I will keep them up.

Ginger snaps aren't a bad choice for dunking, Jim. But my favorite dunker is a Spekulatius, a German spiced cookie that Aldi only sells around Christmas. There are four boxes in my cabinet right now.

Those are my favorite too. I looked last time at Aldi but couldn't find them. Hopefully next shopping trip I can.

Sorry about your bad experience at urgent care. I've only gone to urgent care once, and they weren't useful at all. I resorted to OTC stuff, too, when I was so sick last winter.

Also sorry about the Aldi cookies; they've changed the packaging this year so the box has a green background. I almost overlooked them because I was used to the old box, which was mostly brown and red.

Jim, I hope your eyeballs are feeling better! I've been putting off my next trip to the eye doctor. Far from my favorite: I'd rather go to the dentist!!

My sister, who is leaving today, arrived late Tuesday. We didn't get as many things done as I would have hoped. Yesterday's weather was warm enough (for me! She whined a bit ). But the 40-plus mph wind gusts made outdoor work too challenging for us to accomplish much.

Hope the weather folks are right that the temps could reach almost 50 this weekend. I am already tired of swapping out frozen waterers two or three times a day and having to jump on the sheep's black rubber water dish to break ice. The heater for her dish inside the shed has quit working, and the heater itself is embedded in about three inches of ice. Maybe I can thaw it and put in a replacement this weekend.

was up at 5am
had my coffee with a new brand of ginger snaps.
store brand from Walmart. they taste as good as Nabisco. but don't hold the coffee well. too porous.
they dribble coffee on my shirt., but I can live with that because they are $4.oo less than Nabisco.
this morning I bottled the Mead., just a one gallon batch., I put it into a one gallon jug,\
still is the mid teens for temps today.
after reading about the water woes of all the chicken people, makes me happy that I don't have any.

Walked Brew tonight and this morning. Also I lost my hat at some point today sadly. I couldn’t find it anywhere at the club or at home either so I have no idea where the heck I would have put it. I was definitely wearing it when I left for the day though so maybe in one of the transportation vehicles? Which if so it is long gone now LOL unfortunately. I don’t think I took it off though so idk. Maybe it just fell off walking or something? I would have noticed though, right? WHERE THE HECK IS IT!?!?!?!?!?! LOL now I have to buy a new one which is annoying.
