Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

We missed that last batch of storms here too. It's crazy it's August and still so green out. Usually everything is dried up and brown by now. I usually use grass clipping for mulch and deep litter in the poultry runs. Geese, donkeys, and goats appreciate a pile of the too.

got some more rain . I haven't watered for a couple of weeks.
can't keep up eating the tomatoes. might have to make some salsa.
the grapes are coming along slowly. some are growing better than others. I am going to try some green cuttings to propagate some new plants. I would like to get four more.
the doe and three fawns are camping out behind the garage near the big blackberry patch. Dave scared them out yesterday when he went back there to pick berries.

We got another 3 inches here. I need waders on to pick stuff in my garden. Everything is overgrown, and wet. I've about had enough for the year. Gardening hasn't been very successful this year. Time for everything to freeze.

Today is refreshing. The weather has been horrible this year. I do like the regular rain, but not the humidity. I've given up trying to shut my AC off at night. It's too moist.

I'm getting a lot of stuff too out of my little garden. I'm starting to wonder if we will have a harsh winter based off all the root vegetables I'm getting.

How did that old song go? Roll out those lazy hazy days of summer ..... I guess we have had the hazy to excess.. Now even Minn is spewing smoke at us.
I hope Minn got some of the rain we had last night. Had over 2 inches early and then we got that late evening batch.
Our house is so tight we can't tell if it is windy. We can hear the rain on the metal roof, though.
If this precipitation keeps us, we are going to have one hell of a pile of snow

Same we got about 3 inches here and there looks like more to come today, but I cant tell if it is smoke from MN or rain clouds. I was just saying that we are going to have one snowy winter, digging out the winter stuff early.

We got over 5 inches in 2 days here. I think we have enough rain for a while. We also have a leak in our roof, so fixing that section of roof is on the agenda if it ever stops raining so much. Usually it gets more wet in October. I hope that doesn't happen, or nothing will get done here.

Getting tired of gardening. Starting to pull some spent plants out. It's crazy the average frost date is around 2 weeks away. I'm guessing though it won't freeze until sometime in October this year.

I don't mine the wildfire haze. It cuts down on the sun heating stuff up. It's too hot for me. Now there are hoards of mosquitoes because of all the rain. I haven't missed them.

Does anyone know if @jvls1942 is okay? He hasn't been on in a whil hhis
