Dreaming of Spring Gardening in the Middle of a Wisconsin winter part 2

Aaaaaaaaaandddddd this dentist couldn’t do anything because I just went and insurance wouldn’t cover another exam and x rays and they didn’t have a copy of the x rays. They did reschedule me for a few weeks out at least but still. They also asked me to wait outside because I got there really early and everyone was at lunch. I went to Dunkin in the next suite over lol I understood but my BF thinks it was rude especially since they then didn’t even see me and why didn’t they look into it before. But I didn’t tell them before that I had just went. I should’ve.

Sometimes it takes a while to find a place that is a good fit. This place sounds a bit unorganized.

because nobody works on their lunch break.
you can have your X Rays transferred from place to place.
You paid for them, they are yours.
That’s a good point but I’m pretty sure the receptionist stayed in the office the whole time, I think she had her break earlier, so she maybe could’ve? But maybe she was on break too or maybe the doctor had to do it.

And that’s a good idea, thanks. I do need to call them and have them transferred but I think I’ll go to the February place not this place. It’s closer. I do like this place though.

we are having cell phone issues. we have T Mobile "service".
All of a sudden we cannot make calls from our home location.
Went to the T Mobile store and the jerk said it is because we
don't have a tower close by. Oh, really ? our house hasn't moved,
and I'm quite sure the tower is still in the same place . We had
service up until a week ago.. The jerk, er clerk, told us it is a
Spectrum problem.. How so ? we pay T Mobile for "service".
Spectrum says it is a T Mobile problem..
Can we say, "pass the buck" boys and girls??
on a good note. We drove 4 1/2 hours up to the UP.
bought a car from Annie's sister. It is a 2oo9 Nissan.
has a couple of minor issues that need fixing. but
the body, motor and transmission are in fine shape.
The hatch back latch doesn't work. I can fix that just
by jumping a wire and grounding it. no cost .
we drove into town and drove all over town and
back home and the gas needle didn't move. Probably
used a gallon of gas.. The old Buick is all cleaned out.
ready for it's last journey ,, to the junk yard.
We drove it for seven years.. Paid $35oo. for it back then.
didn't do any repairs on it except shock absorbers.
Too bad they don't make those old Buicks any more.

So you're sure the cell tower hasn't moved, huh? :)

My first cell was a prepaid Tracfone, sold to me at the local Target store. At the time, as the "specialist" at Target knew well there wasn't a tower close enough to my rural property to allow me to easily use said phone. Oh, I could make calls -- and occasionally receive them -- IF I went out onto my deck and held the phone at exactly the right position. With the exception of one overly zealous salesperson I am much happier now with a really basic phone and basic service from Verizon.

Most of the old vehicles were made to last much longer than the current crops. I have my dad's 1995 F-150, and that thing is built like a tank. I rush my Focus into the garage at the mere threat of bad weather, but that old truck sits outside year round and comes through like a champ.

about a year ago I sold my 1995 F 150 to the plumber who
fixed our pump issue. got $5oo.oo for it. That is what the
junk yard would have given me. It still ran very good, but the
tail lights were not working. I hadn't driven it for over a year.
He had one just like it. wanted it for spare parts.. motor, tranny,
tires.. I have a hunch that he fixed the tail lights and is driving it.
or sold it..

I must be one of the few remaining people without a cellphone, and wait for it,,,,still have a landline.

Jim they don't make anything like they used to. Everything is disposable now so we can keep on buying stuff. We keep our old Ford trucks and run them until they can't run anymore. Not sure if that will be true for the newer one. Time will tell. Buick was a great brand too. My first car was a Buick Skylark. I think I paid 800 dollars and had to get a loan to buy it.
