Oh wow lolNot much. Too cold. Talking 40 a week from now. Believe it when I see it. Could definitely use a warm up.
We are having water pressure problems. Hopefully it's just the pressure switch which husband went to get a new one. Otherwise pulling the pump out of the well at these temperatures is not something we want to do.![]()
We have had a lot of experience pulling the well pump up. Never did it below 32 degrees before. Hopefully it warms enough as we don't need the water in the line to freeze. We are just hoping it can keep going at lower pressure, which isn't fun, but it's better than no water. We had that problem a couple months ago, hoped it was just the pressure switch but it wasn't. It wasn't as cold then as it is now. But it was a pain for my husband, he did the work, I just had to hear all the cussing etc. and let me tell you that is a ... not fun.
Good luck to you both, I know... we are lucky to have a well in hubby's shop.We have had a lot of experience pulling the well pump up. Never did it below 32 degrees before. Hopefully it warms enough as we don't need the water in the line to freeze. We are just hoping it can keep going at lower pressure, which isn't fun, but it's better than no water.
The problem is the well won't shut off at higher pressure, but will at lower pressure. We are thinking some fitting is pulling apart, so at higher pressure more leaks out. We are currently running at lower pressure with the hopes it waits until this coming weekend and warmer weather so we can pull it up and have a look. Hopefully there isn't a break in the line from the well to the house. If it wasn't so cold we would have pulled it up by now. Lots of hoping going on here.Lisa, before you pull the pump.
there might be a little ice in the pipe from the well to the house. just run the water for a bit and see if y ou can melt it out,,,,if that is the problem ?
