Since my chickens do not have access to fresh grass unless I cut it and bring it in, and since the grass currently abundant will be gone in the summer, I am wondering if there is a way to preserve it for later. How might I dry grass, or perhaps more importantly, would they even like dried grass?

I think it depends on what type of dried grass you are throwing for them. Lawn clippings, probably not so much. Hay they would probably like. I toss mine some flakes of hay every now and then and they love it. Our pastures also go to seed and brown up and die off around May-June and I usually cut it all down to a few inches tall and they love scratching through that for the seeds. There's just not much nutritional value in the dried grass itself I don't think.
