Dried Membrane !HELP!

Hi there after my chick got stopped unzipping for almost 20 hours i decided to intervine. Thankfully i did as there was a thick resin type substance which has gone solid over the chicks head and has what seems like glued it’s right wind to the side of its face. Other wise the chick seems healthy and lively. I have tried dampening the resin like substance however failed to remove it. Has anyone had any experience of this or know the best way to remove it Thanks

Is it restricting movement? If not do not worry as it will dry up and flake off. If it is hindering the chick: repeated wetting and wiping with rag or paper towel, but must keep warm.

I have had chicks get "shrink wrapped" several times. Usually within the first week the chick down has fluffed or shed enough that it disappears on it's own.

Thank for your help.. The chick has fluffed up as i bathed it in warm water and used a hair drier. She’s eating and drinking fine however her head feathers and still flat and dry so hopefully within a couple days or a week this sheds off. Might i add that her eyes, ears and vent are not affected and neither is mobility
