Our broody hen started off with 10+ eggs. Then some broke somehow(luckily they weren't any good). She still has about 10 or more eggs, but only 4 developed...I guess our roosters haven't bee doing their jobs very well. But now I'm worried because 4 eggs have lively chicks in them and it's day 20-21 and one or two of them have little bit of dried yolk on them from the ones that cracked.
They are still alive and all, but will the dried yolk affect them at all? The ones that do have the yolk on them aren't really completely covered, it's just a small clump of dried yolk on the shell. I pulled most of it off, but don't want to risk breaking any of them!
Thanks!
