Drinking A LOT of water

Hope this isn't too late a reply, but try smelling her breath. A foul odor is usually a sign of sour crop.

What does a normal crop look/feel like?

Penny comes out of the henhouse in the morning and goes straight to the water.
She drinks a LOT of water before beginning her day.

She has a large crop on the right side of her body.

She is eating fine and laying an egg every other day.
She seems to feel fine, though she's really mean to the smallest hen.

She seems to feel ok.

Is this normal to drink so much water?

I have two hens that drinks alot of water too. Outside the coop is dry but inside their coop is very muddy. Both hens look healthy and active. Any suggestions.

Have a young rooster who since he was born always drinks excessive amounts of water; he was born alone and 3 weeks later 2 hens were born.
They are held separately. The hens box sand is always dry and non smelly; the rooster's sand is wet in a minute after changing it, right away with loose, pee like poop.
He seems very healthy; eating well; abundant nice feathers, agile, healthy behavior.
When I put the hens in his cake, he's not really happy; when I remove them he's calming down immediately.

I try to add daily to his water couple of drops of ginger elixir ( sliced ginger submerged in non filtered natural apple cider with mother.)
Hope this probiotic will help.
