Drive in Movies :)

We don't have them out here, but the regal cinemas does 2 free movies each Thursday 10 AM during the summer, kid stuff rated G & PG.

I just watched a program about the history of drive-ins on PBS the other week. Very interesting. There is still one near me that we keep planning on going to.

That was a matinee even!

Ahhh.. drive-ins.. remember them fondly. Wish we had them again. I think the nearest one to us (and one of the few in VA) is about 20 miles away. I dont know if they show new movies though.. now I'll have to check though after paying that kind of money!

Should've waited for Harry Potter...

Now I have to pay $$ again to go see it! LOL I can honestly say the only movies we've paid to see in the theaters are the HP movies and LOTR - and now.. Transformers.

i told the kids that tomorrow night is a date night for me and the wife. We are going to see HP

He would pitch a hissy if we told him we were going to see HP without him... oh good lord...

He'd haunt me for weeks!

if I say the word Date Night the kids are sufficiently grossed out enough for me and the wife to go out on our own

Heck, giving the wife a random kiss is enough to clear a room here hahahah

Ahhhhhh, Drive in movies! I fondly remember taking the kids to see Ghostbusters at the drive in. How fun! We packed hotdogs and chips and drinks. But we bought popcorn. Can't beat that movie-theater butter!!
