Drooping Comb

I have a frizzled cochin chick, not quite a year old. Early this morning her comb started falling over. Anyone know what is going on? She has been in my house for about 2 months. She seems well.

Hm. Often leghorns will have drooping combs, but just because they are so large. I'm not sure what to say. Is she laying?

She laid her first egg about 2 weeks ago or sooner, she has laid a total of 5 now. She isn't laying eggs every day.

If she was laying eggs every day after 2 weeks, now that would be cause to be worried!

Is her comb abnormally large? If so, it may be that it just droops naturally...

Well, it seems like everyday that my ducks and other chicken I had laid everyday..lol
Anyway, she is alot smaller than most frizzles, she has (or had) Coryza, so I thought she would never lay eggs...lol
So her comb is not very large in my opinion.
But yes, I can post a photo of her, I need to charge my batteries.

Has her comb changed color recently at all?

I have a bantam cochin that did the same thing and she lays and sets as normal. Its just her comb hangs there all floppy. This has been since last Summer, I kept an eye on her and I can see no change in behavior.
Perhaps someone will have an answer....................Good Luck..........

Her comb hasn't changed color at all. Her face isn't as red, but she does that, so for her that would be normal.
She looks funny now though.
