Dropped egg with developing embryo--help!

My young son got overly excited when candling, dropped an egg on the bath mat (about a 6" drop), and it didn't crack but it immediately displaced the air cell.

We're on day 6. Yesterday the air cell was perfectly round. Now it's misshapen. The embryo was visible, but I worry that a drop like that will kill it.

I made a little hammock out of an egg carton and placed the egg back in the incubator air cell up. Any experience with this sort of thing?

The aircell should stabilize if kept upright.

It's still in the early days of development. I'd put it back and see how it goes.
