Dropped tongue or not?

Does my boy have dropped tongue and how do i treat it? Ive managed to look inside his mouth but i cant see a buildup of food under his tongue, but i did see what looks to be a scab or something...so maybe he has eaten something that has cut the inside of his mouth a little bit??




I can try get spme better pictures later if necessary but im at work for now.

Its definitely his tongue because i can feel it when i move it out of the way, but there no obvious build up of mash or anything under there

Right, so i['ve had a better look and there seems to be an ulcer or some kind of damage on his tongue, like he's cut it...Should i give him some kind of antibiotic?? Enrofloxacin??? I don't know!!

Enrofloxacine is a good all around antibiotic, @casportpony knows what dosage to give, you can send her a message and ask if that’s the best choice for an issue like this and what dosage.

Thanks, That's really useful, but I can't find any impacted debris under his tongue, and I endured lots of biting my finger to find out! Ouch, lol.

I'll maybe try and find a vet that knows about waterfowl and ask them.
