Droppings Boards Advice Please!

Thanks to all of for the droppings board advice. My husband raised our roosts, removed the droppings pit and installed the board this weekend! What a difference the board makes- lots more floor space for the girlz to walk on, soooo much cleaner smelling (after cleaning off the board every morning, obviously) and we need to use a LOT less bedding as it stays much cleaner, much longer!! Thanks again!

sounds like you've got your board issue managed, so i'm pretty late here - but . . .
we went to a habitat for humanity store and purchased an old counter top (already laminated) and put it under our poles. then we put 1" deep boot trays - the kind you use in the garage or mudroom for wet boots - under the poles to collect the droppings. we sprinkle the trays with shavings and dump the shavings 1x per week into the compost.
