I know you have heard of "Gump" bread. Well, I made drunk bread. DH was brewing beer over the weekend. I took the used steeping grain and made bread. I kinda made up the recipe as I went but it worked out pretty good.
1 1/2 cups warm water
4 tsp. yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
Mix up and let sit for 5 - 10 minutes
To the yeast mixture add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups of wet spent grain
Gradually sift in 3 - 4 cups bread flour/with a dash of salt (add enough flour to to get that elastic consistency)
Form into a ball and cover and let rise for 20-25 minutes. punch dough down and make into 2 loaves . (on 2 of my loaves I used Gumpsgirl's idea about rolling it up like a jelly roll). Cover and let the loaves rise for 20-25 minutes. Bake on 350* for 20-25 minutes, until top of loaves are golden brown.
