Ok one of my hobbies is wine making, and the blackberries produced well this year, almost 60 lbs. And what did I do with the pulp, yep I tossed it out to the chickens! Well this one little bird eats well more than his share. I go out later and he is laying there, like he was sun bathing in the shade. He looks up at me like "whats goin on dude". It's late in the day so I put him in the coop on a mezzanine, he is alert but cannot stand and walk. After dark I check on him as I am locking up, he is under the nest box on the floor, so I take him inside to a cage for the night. He is standing and seems fine now,,,.

Yes the pulp is fermented for 5 - 7 days, I go 7 or until the bubbles slow down. It would be around 10+% at this point
There is a bit of runny lumpy poo,,, I guess the alcohol did not set well with him,,, but I just took him out, opened the coop and sat him down. Where did he go, straight back to the berries!

Did they fight more than normal? Did you notice your hens pairing up with roo's they'd normally avoid? Avoiding looking at each other at the feeder/waterer? :D

Couldn't resist.

Alcohol can be toxic, so you might want to consider not giving them the leftovers, or less at any one time, or let them dry out some to allow the alcohol to evaporate.

I never thought just 1 bird would get into it and eat so much! And ya I will wait for a day and let the alcohol evaporate out next time.

Eating like that he will be ready next month,,,Maybe sooner,,,
