Dry Duck Feet

Hello everyone. I have two pekin ducks and recently their feet have become dry. I thought it might be scaly leg mites but I'm not sure. Lucius, the smaller of the two, got this big sore on his foot, but my other duck Sammy is not affected. I'm not sure what this is and would greatly appreciate any help or advice! Thanks so much!

coat their legs and feet with petroleum jelly (Vaseline) if its mites it will help get rid of them and if its just dry scale it will help that too and do both ducks treat them both like they have mites so if one does you will keep the other one from getting it and rub the Vaseline in good and do it multiple times a day if you can

Ok thank you! And do you know anything about the sore? I tried putting some antibiotic cream on it.

no just put the Vaseline on it and if it starts to look infected or he starts acting sick or like hes hurting gat some antibiotics for the poor fella

it looks kinda like dry skin cracking to me you know how our skin gets dry and cracks during the winter their skin acts similar to ours so keep that in mind through out the year and during the winter when it is cold and all year long actually rub the Vaseline on their legs and feet it cant hurt it can only help
