Dry hatching duck eggs?

Do duck eggs need a higher humidity than other eggs? I am going to be dry hatching some quail eggs and wondered if I could put some duck eggs in too. Would the spike in humidity for the last days of the quail cause problems with the duck eggs?

I have hatched Ducks twice and my daughter once, neither of us changed the humidity at the end. I had a good hatch and so did she. Ducks are too much fun though!!

Sounds good to me Our house is about 50% humidity, so I am hoping this will work ok.

I dry incubate, and moist hatch. In my opinion, it is the best way to hatch any egg. However, duck eggs are not as difficult to hatch as goose eggs, which require a very high humidity near the end. I really do not advise incubating at high humidity levels, though.

Can you tell me more about your method? I am dry incubating some duck eggs now. They've been in my outside patio and the humidity has ranged mostly between 40 and 55 percent. So far, they look great. we are on Day 18 now.

What do your percentages tend to be when you do not up the humidity during hatch?

I've tried to dry hatch before and for some reason, could never get the humidity above 30 percent during lockdown. Nor could I keep it much higher during inncubation (I tried to dry hatch in the house). They all got shrinkwrapped. It was awful.

I was planning on bumping it up quite a bit on lockdown, but I'm also curious how necessary that is this time around. The humidity has been much higher this time around for the first 18 days and I believe it will continue (we are in the South).

Please tell me more about your method.
