Dry heaves or soundless practice crows?

What does it mean when a 8-15 day old chick opens its mouth? It reminds me of dry heaves (in a way).

Do they practice crowing or do they regurgitate food?

It's kinda like a mini-yawn and is no indication of roosterhood.

A couple of mine started doing that, I thought they were choking....scared the daylights out of me! LOL!
