I candle on day 7-10 and on day 19 when i put them in the hatcher. If there is no growth on day 7-10 I take them out. If i'm not sure I leave them in. Then I candle on day 19 when I put them in the hatcher and I take out any that died while developing. This keeps the doors shut and the temp constant. It takes about 30+ minutes to change the temp in the core of the egg. It only takes 2 minutes to candle 5-6 dozen looking for duds.
