I candle in the dark... Lol . But with dark eggs its the only way. Almost threw out a dark egg last incubation but decided to leave it. Now it's rose/ross.

What a beautiful chick. I will wait a few days - maybe day 10 or even day 14, and then try candling again when it's really dark. Till then I'll just hope everything's fine.

Last night was day 21 and I woke to a 100% hatch!
Cochin / Brahma mixes
Cochin / barred rock mixes
Cochin / dark Cornish.... Especially happy about this one because it was the very last egg layed before Amiela was killed.

Got another boy from my barred rock.
They are different. Very short legs. Japanese bantam short.
