Dry incubation?

Ok, so this is my second time hatching. My first time I did wet incubation 50% - 60% through day 18 70% - 75% in lockdown and I had 2/3 hatch. This time I am trying dry incubation and was wondering what to have the humidity at. I would also love to hear stories of successful hatches with dry incubation.

I've never done the dry incubating method. I've always done the wet incubation with 35% - 45% humidity from the first part of incubation, & 55% - 65% humidity at lockdown.

Hopefully someone who's done the wet incubation pops in to help you.

By dry incubation do you mean having a small dish of water in the incubator rather than dipping or spraying the eggs? If that is what your doing I believe your levels should be roughly the same.

My last incubation was dry; humidity ran between 28-45% (Texas weather, lol) and I added water for the first time at lockdown. I kept it 65-75% through to hatch. We usually have 14 or 15 out of 22 eggs hatch; the last one was 16 hatch but one died from complications from an umbilical hernia.

No appreciable difference between the two methods so far but I have a dozen Ayam Cemani eggs in right now along with a few random eggs from my flock, and I'm running humidity at 45% until lockdown.

From what I've read about dry incubation I am supposed to keep the humidity around 25% - 35% until day 18 then I bump it up to 55% - 65%.
