hi so i have this hen i believe its a EE but im not sure that would be another question i need help answering thanks , kinda new to the chicken coop .......nevertheless im concered my hen Betsy seems to have had her comb dry up a bit and also become a bit pale in the last 3 days can anyone tell me if its normal or something to concern myself more about i have read that if i put vaseline it helps is this true?
thanks i had some trouble determining if he was a she or she was a he so i took it down to ifa and they "INSPECTED" it and they were sure it was a she, can you explain to me how you can tell she is a he ? im dumbfounded either way thanks
Well, how old is it? That can be a guide for comb size and redness.
But the big thing on this bird is the color. It scream roo. That splashy coloring and the dark red on the wings is rooster colors. Google red sex link rooster and you'll see. The red will probably spread/increase as he ages.
The color really gave it away. The wattles too are really big for a 14 week pullet. You can also see along his back that saddle feathers are starting to come in.
thanks , sad its so beautiful (to me anywasys) well i guess i got to put it up for adoption ........ at least now i have a new space to fill thanks for the 411 guys/girls .
