Four, but there are at least seven more that have little holes punched in the shell. I called my doctor's wife about an hour ago and surprised her with the good news. I'll be taking them to her tomorrow as a Christmas gift. She's really a sweet lady, and I'm really glad for her. In the last six months, there have been so many disappoitments from the incubator that I gave away to some lying chick seller over the internet. These two Genesis incubators are GREAT!
BTW, I neglected to mention a while ago about how cute all those chicks are... DUH! Well, they ARE!

I'll be taking them to her tomorrow as a Christmas gift. She's really a sweet lady, and I'm really glad for her. Ooops, I just left the message above, walked in there to look at the "holes" and #5 was already out and another one is zipped more than half way around. MAN, THEY ARE FAST. I can't stay up with them.

Oh my gosh, I know! It makes you crazy when they sit on top of another one trying to hatch and not be able to open the incubator and get them off.
5:15 P.M. #8 popped out.

I also turned the red plug upside down and covered most of the vent hole with it so the humidity didn't go haywire.
If I could change one thing it would be to have seperate hatchers for each egg breed. The ones needing higher humidity like Marans and those with thinner shells who don't need as much.
I had to help a few out, and did have one sticky chick although it was only stuck a tiny bit to its thigh (It still couldn't zip right like that)
But 9 out of 10 BLRW pipped so that is a thumbs up for dry hatching and the chicks not "drowning" 9 out of 12 Marans too. And the 2 Javas. I only lost 3 eggs out of 24.
Not sure if one of the Marans will make it. It is small and weak. But it pipped!
