I have a chick that has been hatched for 9 hours now, but the feathers on the back still looks wet and thim and you can see it's skin. Might it have egg residue? What should we do? I don't want to move it to the brooder too soon. It's buddy just hatched a couple hours ago and is still quite wet. Should I wait until they are both dry and move them together? I don't know if the other three pipped eggs will succeed and would like to to get the hatched ones eating and drinking.

They can go days without food or water. They can be in there a little longer.
