Drying/preserving chicken feet.

I'll freeze or refrigerate them and bring along a bunch

I have to process at least 8 or 10 more quail tomorrow. As small as they are, wouldn't take much time to dry them.

Hmmm, not sure I'd want them poked through my ears

but good idea (if you're brave

I thought for earings maybe hanging and clutching something small. Instead of leather, maybe string wrapped in tight spiral on the leg part for some color, and some tiny beads and feathers.

I collect black cloth (African American) rag dolls, these would be cool for hanging on a "rag doll Hoodoo bag". Oooo, now I'm getting ideas

eta - we could market them as part of the "Voodoo Barbie Kit"

Voodoo Barbie! I love it! I'd buy one of those. Head bandana, gris gris bag, chicken foot hanging on the belt, maybe quail foot earrings...your choice of crystal ball or scrying bowl...comes with chalk and an instruction book on drawing appropriate symbols...

I really hope this rain ends before tomorrow so it isn't too icky for Chickenstock.

my calf yard was so muddy I almost fell on my butt trying to feed them this morning.

We were gonna band them, and give them all their shots today, but I am hoping that Tony has changed his mind - not my idea of a fun day trying to corral 10 calves, band them, give them two shots each, then turn them loose. Even with 4 people I think we'd have a muddy mess.

You all just gave me a great idea for my pheasants feet that we get during hunting season!!! Heres another one for the bag we made..... A pheasant foot back scratcher! It worked well to and we still have it!
